Managing Light as the Best “Sleep Hack”
I think the best “sleep hack” is managing light.
Allowing sleep to greet you and support your physiology by doing what our ancestors did. Watching the sunset and sleeping when it is dark.
Watch the sunset and experiencing the fall of the darkness lulls me right into sleepiness.
I notice when my eyes see artificial lighting after sunset it awakens me and makes sleep less available. In our bedroom we have a red lightbulb and we don’t turn on the white lights after the sunsets. If I am going to look at a screen or be under lights or drive at night I always where my red blue blight blocking glasses and that helps significantly.
